Love Your Block @ Tommy’s Rock
Join us on Saturday, May 2nd for Love Your Block at Tommy’s Rock Farm!
This spring clean up is a hosted partnership with the City of Boston’s Office of Neighborhood Development. Come and gather with your Roxbury community to beautify our neighborhood by reviving the ecosystems at Tommy’s Rock Farm and other urban wilds in the area.
The clean up will take place from 11am-2pm at 3 Akron Street, Roxbury, MA 02119.
How to Get Involved
Whether you’re planning to stay for just an hour or the whole event, please click the sign up button above to register to volunteer.
Come Prepared
Volunteering at a farm is hot in the summer, cold in the spring and fall, and always dirty – so, come prepared and dressed appropriately for farming.
Please consider the following guidelines:
Wear clothes that you will not mind getting dirty.
Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes.
Traveling to the Farm
By Public Transit
Tommy’s Rock Farm is accessible by the MBTA. Various bus routes travel along Warren Street and the farm is just a short 3 minute walk from the bus stop. Visit the MBTA’s Trip Planner site to plan your visit.
By Vehicle
No matter which direction you’re traveling, navigating to Tommy’s Rock Farm is easy by car. Just visit Google Maps or Apple Maps for turn by turn directions.
Parking
Free street parking is available along Akron and Alpine Street. Please be sure to check the parking and street cleaning signs to avoid being ticketed or towed.
